![]() ![]() It's not quite as great as those two games, but it's enjoyable for what it is and those who were wanting a true follow up to that series (instead of the 'experimentation' of Lost Worlds and Boom) should not be disappointed, as long as they keep their expectations in check. Blue Sphere levels are based on the Special Stages from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. Knuckles Blue Sphere (cameo) Sonic Blast (cameo) Sonic the Fighters Sonic. In summary, if you enjoyed Colors and Generations, you will enjoy this. Sonic Mania: Super Edition: Sand Plant New version + True Ultra Hyper Sonic. For a Sonic game it is strangely average and unremarkable, with exception of the Lost World music remixes I hear here and there. It doesn't have the same impact Colors or Generations had. Touching the spheres ends the bonus stage. Second criticism is a some of the level design and gameplay is very safe. Bonus stages have players navigate Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles through a series of blue spheres to clear the stage. It's clearly geared towards kids, so is quite simplistic, but I'd have liked an advanced option for greater customisation. a quick video to prove to everyone what the real last level of blue sphere is and i officially beaten it even tho i used a code but whatever but enjoy the vi. Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and the Blue Spheres lock-on game. My criticisms? The avatar creation tool could do with more depth. First appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles and the lock-on game Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the game introduces to three different type of spheres, that are featured in the games Special Stages: blue, red and dark yellow. Experience two games in one with this Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double. The story is pretty cool as well, as far as Sonic games go. Honestly, I don't know how anyone could be a fan of Colors or Generations and not enjoy this. Levels are shorter on average, although there does appear to perhaps be more of them to make up for it. It plays just like Colors and Generations, gameplay wise, but there is a bigger emphasis on speed running. While the higher speed may be tempting, don't go too far out of your way to collect the blue spheres if you don't keep a steady. Fill the gauge at the top of the screen by collecting blue spheres to enter Mach 2, then fill it again for Mach 3. ![]() ![]() It's actually pretty good, in my opinion. The Special Stages themselves are very simple: Sonic is constantly running, first at Mach 1 speed. ![]()
